About Our Church and Ministry

Sunday Worsip

Every Sunday, 10am

Our Sunday Morning worship service consists of songs from our wide range of musicians, acapella, traditional, and contemporary music. We reflect on the word of God and our Pastor preaches on the topic from the lectionary, or as they feel called. Our Joys and Concerns from the week are listened to and prayed over.

We broadcast our worship live at live.umcjuneau.church so all can participate, and we record for later viewing during the week on our YouTube channel.

Our Tech team work hard to ensure that we are all able to worship together and allow us to watch pre-recorded videos and view song lyrics in-person.

We hope to be able to enjoy fellowship and food after the service soon.

Adult Sunday School

Every Sunday, 11:30am

Aldersgate’s Lay Leader David Means leads various studies focusing on what it means to be a Christian in daily life.

Sunday school meets at 11:30am at the Aldersgate building or via Zoom.  Please email David Means for the current link.

Serving Dinner at the Glory Hall

Every 3rd Saturday, 4-7pm

We cook and serve dinner at the Glory Hall homeless shelter.  It is a very rewarding experience.

Volunteers are always needed.

Volunteers usually cook from 4-6 PM, serve from 6-6:30, and then a quick clean up (wipe down surfaces, clean grill).

Contact Keith Pahlke, 907-321-8788, or sign up on the Google Sheet if you are interested in helping out.

Feed the Future program

CURRENTLY ON HOLD DUE TO COVID-19

Every Week

Each week we assemble bags of shelf-stable food to send home to students at Glacier Valley Elementary School whose families are food insecure.

Donated food is always welcome. Easy-open pull-tab cans of soup, tuna packets, granola bars, snack-size lunch items, and fruit cups.

Volunteers are needed to deliver to the school on the last day of the week.
